A very fine quality Swiss 18 carat gold open faced anker chronometer pocket watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1892. Retailed by Shreve, Crump & Low Co in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. Sold on January 27th, 1896. The glazed quality Extra bridge movement with a lever escapement and gold screw compensation balance. White enamel dial with black Arabic hours, an outer minute track, outermost red Arabic five minute numerals, sunk auxiliary seconds at 6 o’clock and decorative hands. The smooth case with a monogram on the back. Dial signed by the retailer, case numbered, movement numbered and signed by the watchmaker and retailer. Comes with an Extract from the Archives.
