An English 18 carat gold open faced key wound pocket watch, circa 1820. The movement with an early cylinder escapement, a diamond endstone, cylinder wheel and fusee chain. Gilt dial with applied gold Roman hour numerals, outer minute dots, outermost three colour gold floral and foliate decoration, an engine turned center and gold moon hands. The case back is engine turned, both bezels polished, and the band, pendant and bow florally engraved. Movement signed and numbered.
