A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating chronograph pocket watch made by Vacheron Constantin SA in Geneva, circa 1890. The movement with a lever escapement. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, black Arabic hours, outer minute divisions, red Arabic five minutes, an outermost fifth of a second track, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gold Louis XIV hands. The plain case is monogrammed JDR on the hinged back. Dial and cuvette signed, case and movement signed and numbered.
