Gold, enamelled and stone set key wind watch

A Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and stone set pair cased key wind pocket watch made by Frères Esquivillon & Dechoudens in Geneva, circa 1790. The gilt full plate movement with a fusee verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance cock, three arm balance, ruby endstone and silvered regulation. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals and decorative hands. A polished inner case, the outer case with a stone set bezel on the front, the back featuring the polychrome enamel portrait of a young female framed by stones and surrounded by further applied, stone set decoration on a translucent blue enamelled ground. Dial signed, inner case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
