A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel pearl set pocket watch in a glazed gilt brass protective case made by Nolly in Switzerland, circa 1796. Directoire case, with split pearl set bezels, the enamel back panel with a very fine neoclassical painted scene, depicting a young couple and their servant paying respect to the rose-diamond set altar of Love. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions and gold pierced hands. A gilt brass, full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end piece. Signature on the movement.
