A small Swiss 18 carat yellow gold and enamel open faced keywind pocket watch, circa 1790. This watch features a keywind movement with a verge escapement, a hidden spiral, and a fusee and chain. The plate is signed and numbered. The white enamelled signed dial displays Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minutes track with Arabic numerals for five minute intervals, and silver hands. The 18 carat gold case boasts a front bezel set with faceted white stones. The back cover showcases a polychrome enamelled painted decoration depicting a harbour scene with boats and people. The caseband is enhanced by chased interlacing friezes. The case back is marked CH.B.
