An exceptionally rare and fine Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1892. Purchased on August 24th, 1905.
The movement with a pivoted Earnshaw detent escapement, free sprung bimetallic compensation balance with heavy gold compensation and timing screws, and blued steel helical balance spring. White enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel hands. The brushed and polished case with a snap on back and front. Dial and movement signed, case signed and numbered. Comes with an Extract from the Archives dated February 4th, 2020 and a Chronometer Bulletin dated 27th November 2020.
