Gold open faced cylinder watch

A fine and elegant Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced ladies’ pendant watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1870. Retailed by A.H. Rodanet & Co, Constructeurs de Chronomètres, Rue Vivienne 38 in Paris. The matte gilt bar caliber movement with eight 8 jewels, a cylinder escapement, plain three arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring and an index regulator. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track and original gold halberd hands. The case with engraved bezels and band, a hinged back overlaid with translucent royal blue enamel over sunray engine turning, a central engraved gold floral cartouche with a small monogram and an engraved scroll border on a black champlevé enamel ground.
A further hinged gold cuvette. Case and cuvette signed, movement numbered.
