An extremely rare pocket watch by Vacheron & Constantin observatory chronometer “CHRONOMETRE ROYAL”, manufactured in a small series for the British Navy,  circa 1940.
A silver case, Vacheron & Constantin case punch, anker chronometer movement with fine regulation and wolf’s toothing, extremely rare.
Nickel plated edition with Genève striping for British Navy, no.369395, original enamel dial, blued steel hands, good condition of preservation.

Chronometer Royal with gilded movement, the ones delivered to the British Navy have nickel plated movements. These chronometers are extremely rare. A chronometer of this small series with the number 369409 achieved on a Geneva auction over 7,700 Swiss Francs! (Case cover with minimal pressure traces )
