A rare deck chronometer with power reserve indicator made by Vacheron Constantin SA in Geneva, Switzerland, circa 1940. The numbered case of this watch was crafted from silver. Its silvered dial, marked Swiss, features Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, power reserve indicator at 12 and blued steel spade hands. The excellent quality numbered gilt movement is fitted with an anker chronometer escapement, Geneva striping, a fine adjusting device and chronometer balance.
The movement is signed.
