Silver verge repeating automaton

A French silver open faced verge pocket watch with Jacquemart automaton, Punchinello’s fight against Chronos, circa 1810. Silver case with a reeded band and extendable pendant knob for the automation. A white enamelled chapter ring with Arabic hour numerals, outer minute divisions and original steel Fleur-de-Lys hands. The splendid automaton with four figures moving while repeating, Punchinello and Chronos appear in the upper window during the full hour striking, fighting against each other with hammer and scythe, two cherubs are striking the bells during quarter striking. Movement with a verge escapement, repeating the hours and quarter hours. Cuvette and movement signed and numbered.
