Silver quarter repeating French verge pocket watch

A French quarter repeating verge pocket watch in a silver open-face case circa 1810. This watch features a full plate gilt fusee movement, with a finely pierced and engraved bridge cock and a steel coqueret. It has a plain three-arm gilt balance with a blue steel spiral hairspring and a silver regulator dial with a blue steel indicator. The watch has a push pendant for the first hour and then a quarter repeating on two steel gongs. It can be wound through the signed white enamel dial, which has black Arabic numerals and blue steel Breguet hands. The plain silver open-face case has a ribbed middle and a silver push pendant for the repeat.
