Important, large German fire-gilt, brass and silver striking Renaissance pendant watch with alarm, ‘Nürnberger Ei’, circa 1580. Bell, verge movement, foliot, hour self striking mechanism and alarm. Dial with silver numerals and dots for night reading,  alarm disc, iron hands in the shape of a trident. Richly engraved case, hinged on both sides. Plate with maker’s mark.
