A very fine French 20 carat gold and enamel open faced quarter repeating Louis XV verge pocket watch, circa 1760. Verge movement, repeating the quarter hours on-demand à toc or silent repeating by a button in the band. White enamel Louis XV dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, extremely rare diamond-set hands, the dial with small repair at the winding hole. Louis XV case with floral polychrome enamel on the rim, the back with mirror polished cartouche, Paris punches. Movement signed and numbered.
