A very fine French 20 carat gold and enamel open faced verge pocket watch, The Rose, circa 1750. Fire gilt verge movement. White enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, probably original hands. Case segmentally engraved, polychrome enamel decorated on both sides, rose blossom in the centre, rim with various small blossoms. Movement signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.
