A very fine French 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating keyless pocket watch made by Chaudé in Paris, circa 1890. The gilt brass movement with 29 jewels,
a counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring and swan neck micrometre regulator, repeating on gongs with a slide in the band. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and spade hands. A plain case. Case signed and numbered, movement numbered.
