A very heavy Swiss 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating lever pocket watch, circa 1883. Sold by Patek Philippe retailer M. Scooler, New Orleans, 1883. Glazed movement, Patek Philippe precision lever movement, Geneva striping decoration, balanced lever, repeating the hours, quarter hours and minutes. Cuvette with later dedication M.E.W. from F.R. Xmas 1910. White enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands. Plain case, monogram on the back. Case numbered, dial signed by the retailer, movement signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.
