Chatelaine for a miniature verge watch

An extraordinary and very elaborate French pierced fire-gilt and silvered chatelaine for a miniature Lépine, circa 1800. For use of a miniature verge watch of circa Ø26 mm – Ø27 mm. Two-coloured design, high relief with the representation of blossoms, bows and musical instruments, at the end of the chatelaine the hinged watch case, also with relief musical instruments and blossoms, glazed back. Four of five original clasps are still present.
