Gold cylinder watch with enamel portrait by Robin

A very fine French 18 carat gold and enamel open faced cylinder pocket watch, probably made for Oscar I, King of Sweden, circa 1845. Early bar movement, cylinder escapement. White enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, original steel Breguet hands. Case with an enamel portrait of King Oscar I on the back, the rim with blue and white enamel, in the upper part the royal crown and below the Swedish coat of arms. Cuvette signed and numbered.
