Gold repeating full hunter by Patek Philippe
–
A unique and early Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased quarter repeating lever pocket watch, circa 1855. Exquisite early Patek Philippe lever movement, temperature compensation, shock absorber, repeating the hours and quarter hours. Cuvette engraved with Rocailles. White enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, gold Breguet hands. Case engraved, a finely engraved illustration of a general in his uniform on the front, probably the Polish national hero General Tadeusz Kościuszko, the back with a very detailed illustration of the general on horseback in front of a military scene in the background. Cuvette signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers. Comes with a box from the Türler company in Zurich, which was probably the retailer.
