A small Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced Chronograph Compteur in chronometer quality, circa 1907. Extremely rare, highly complicated calibre with chronograph and register, fine adjusting device. White enamel dial black Arabic hours, red minutes, 30-minute counter, subsidiary seconds and gold hands. Plain case, monogram on the back. Dial signed, case numbered, cuvette signed and additionally inscribed Chronomètre, movement signed and numbered.

This piece is highly interesting for collectors for two reasons. First, it is a highly complicated Vacheron & Constantin chronograph in chronometer quality and second, it is one of the smallest built Vacheron & Constantin pocket watch chronographs with minutes counter. The case quality is also remarkable, weighing 85 g. with an open faced watch of only 47 mm diameter.
