Gold keyless lever with playing card dial and stop feature by Thomas Russell

A fine, very rare English 18-carat gold open-faced center-seconds keyless lever pocket watch with playing card dial featuring the suit of clubs and stop feature, Hallmarked Chester 1900-1901. Frosted gilt 3/4 plate movement, 19 jewels, lateral counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Gold hinged cuvette, gold stop bolt for precision setting at 1. White enamel dial, two-piece with club playing cards for the numerals, outer minute track, and original blued steel spade hands. Solid, polished case, master mark TR. Dial and movement signed.
