A very fine and rare Swiss 18-carat gold open-faced split-seconds chronograph keyless lever pocket watch, made in the 1890s. Nickel-silver movement, bridge caliber, Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with printed Breguet numerals, outer minute and chronograph divisions with 5 minute red Arabic markers, sunk subsidiary seconds dial and original blued steel double spade hands. Solid and polished case. Dial and movement signed, case numbered.
