A fine French 20 Carat gold open faced Louis XV verge pocket watch, circa 1750. Frosted gilt movement, pentagonal baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three armed steel balance, flat balance spring, continental type balance cock pierced and engraved with a geometric pattern, polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals, original gold Louis XV hands. Louis XV case, entirely decorated with radial and wavy line engine turning. Dial and movement signed.
