A very fine and elegant Swiss Staybrite stainless steel and rose gold keyless lever dress watch, circa 1937. Sold on January 26th, 1938. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement à moustache, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator. Two-tone silver dial with applied rose gold Arabic numerals and baton indexes on an outer reserve, outer minute track, guilloché subsidiary seconds dial and original rose gold feuille hands. Solid, polished and brushed case, rose gold-rimmed bezels. Dial, case and movement signed, case numbered. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
