A very fine and elegant Swiss, keyless, Staybrite stainless steel and 18k yellow gold dress watch with two-tone dial, circa 1937. A solid, polished and brushed case, gold-rimmed bezels. Two-tone silver dial with applied yellow gold Arabic numerals and baton indexes on an outer reserve, outer minute track, guilloché subsidiary seconds dial. Yellow gold feuille hands.

A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement à moustache, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
