Gold chronograph dress watch

A very fine and attractive Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever chronograph dress watch with a 30-minute register, circa 1950. Rhodium-plated movement with line decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Brushed gold dial with applied gold faceted baton and dot indexes, Arabic hour numerals at 9 and 3 o’clock, an outer minute track with fifths of a second divisions and Arabic five-minute/second numerals, a 30-minute register at 12 o’clock, subsidiary seconds at 6 and gold epee hands. The polished and brushed case with a stepped inclined bezel, a flat band, snap-on back, a co-axial button in the crown for the start/stop and return-to-zero functions of the chronograph. Dial signed, case numbered. Comes with an 18 carat gold mesh fob on a short chain.
