A very fine and rare French 18 carat gold and enamel pendant watch with a gold and enamel chatelaine, key and seal, circa 1790. Matte gilt full plate movement, flared pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm balance, flat balance spring, pierced and engraved continental balance cock, silver regulation dial. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and large Arabic five-minute numerals, gold Louis XVI hands. Louis XVI case, engraved bezel, the back decorated with a painted on enamel scene of cupid with a basket of flowers kneeling before the flower-bedecked altar of love, royal blue border and outer white enamel dot border. Movement signed.
