A very fine, rare and large Swiss 18 carat rose gold double-dialled keyless lever pocket watch with moon phases, lunar and double date calendar, circa 1890. Nickel-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. White enamel dial on the front with Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds, large inner moon phase aperture with lunar calendar on the edge and original gold Louis XV hands, annular white enamel rear dial with black Arabic chapter on the border for the dates, inner days of the week, the centre exposing the movement. Polished case.
