A fine French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating lever pocket watch, circa 1815-1820. Frosted gilt movement, standing barrel, lever escapement, three armed brass balance, the balance, lever and escape wheel pivots jeweled, the top pivot with parachute, blued steel flat balance spring, blued steel index regulator with bimetallic temperature compensation curb, repeating with two polished steel hammers on two square section gongs activated by depressing the pendant. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with dauphine numerals, outer minute divisions and original blued steel Breguet hands. Polished case back and bezels, reeded band, locking bolt for the repeat at 1. Cuvette signed.
