Rose gold and enamel hunting cased repeating lever by Paul Buhre

A fine and rare 14 carat rose gold and enamel hunting cased quarter repeating keyless lever presentation watch made for the Russian Court, circa 1900. Rhodium plated movement, 29 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Gold hinged cuvette. White ename enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track with five minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and original gold spade hands. Polished case, the front with applied gold Imperial Eagle with blue enamel ribbon. Cuvette signed in Cyrillic, movement signed Le Coultre & Co. beneath the hammers.
