A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever pocket chronometer, Chronometer Royal, circa 1912. Rhodium-plated movement, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, a Breguet balance spring and swan-neck micrometre regulator. A hinged, engraved gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gold spade hands. The polished case with an engine-turned back centred by a cartouche with the initials JBJ. Dial, case and movement signed, case and movement numbered. Comes with a presentation box.
