Silver open faced keyless lever by Ulysse Nardin

A very fine Swiss silver open faced keyless lever deck and pocket chronometer made for the British Navy, circa 1938. Frosted gilt movement, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, anibal-brass Guillaume balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with terminal curve, swan neck micrometric regulator. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and original blued steel spade hands. Polished screwed down case back with reeded edge. Dial, case and movement signed, dial also inscribed with the British Navy broad arrow and CW, case numbered.
