A fine Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel, platinum and diamond set keyless lever pendant watch, circa 1890. Retailed by Henry J. Howe, Syracuse, New York. Rhodium plated movement, Geneva Striping decoration, 18 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with 8 adjustments, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track with outermost red five minute numerals and original gold Louis XV hands. Case with engine turned bezel, the back decorated with stripes of gray enamel alternating with polished white gold, central rose cut diamond set cartouche. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed, case numbered.
