A very fine and large Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced keyless lever Chronometro Gondolo pocket watch, circa 1907. Retailed by Gondolo & Labouriau, Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro. Frosted gilt movement with patented bridge calibre, Ø 47 mm, 21 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, a gold wheel train, straight-line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring and Wilmot‘s patented micrometric cam regulator. A hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five-minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and rose gold spade hands. The polished case with foliate monogram OP on the back. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed by the watchmaker, cuvette also signed by the retailer, case and movement numbered.
