A fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced cylinder pendant watch, circa 1845. Matte gilt movement, bar calibre, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and original gold spade hands. Polished bezel, reeded band, the case back decorated with a painted on enamel scene of a Swiss lake view, foliate dark blue enamel border on an engraved ground. Case punched JB.
