An Austrian silver and enamel egg form keywound verge watch with concealed dial, circa 1800. Mechanical gilt finished full plate verge movement, chain fusée, pierced and engraved balance cock, silvered regulator dial. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, all concealed within a hinged egg form case with engraved scroll and floral openwork overlay, white champlevé enamel band reading Dieu Vous Benit (May God Bless You). Movement signed, case stamped LP. Accompanied by the original fitted leather box.
