A large and ornate verge watch with skeletonised movement decoration, made in Austria, circa 1800. The original case of this watch was crafted from silver and features a decorative corded edge and a cuvette with an exceptionally beautiful chased alpine scene. The original enamel dial features a two coloured floral painting, an outer minutes and hour track with Roman hour numerals and probably original hands. The movement is equipped with a verge escapement and a richly decorated plate.
The case is signed.
