A rare Italian gilt-brass and tortoiseshell open faced two train quarter repeating coach watch with alarm, circa 1715. Gilt finished two train verge movement, chain fusée, pierced and engraved balance bridge, quarter repeating and alarm on three hammers onto a bell, pull quarter repeat with cord. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions and central alarm hand. Hinged into a large pinwork decorated gilt-brass and tortoiseshell case. Dial and movement signed.
