A very fine and unusual Swiss 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating perpetual calendar keyless lever watch with phases of the moon and retrograde date indication, circa 1890. Gilt finished highly jeweled lever movement, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer retrograde date indication with central hand, aperture for phases of the moon, three subsidiary dials indicating day, month and constant seconds. Heavy case, repeating slide in the band. Cuvette and dial signed Charles Ed. Lardet, Fleurier, movement signed LeCoultre.
