Repeating full hunter perpetual calendar with moon phases by Louis Audemars

An extremely fine and rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating perpetual calendar keyless lever watch with moon phases made for the Turkish market, circa 1881. Sold to Breguet and sold by Breguet to Messr Mir & Cottereau in Istanbul on 29 December 1885. Gilt finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, minute repeating mechanism on two hammers onto two gongs. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute division, gilt steel spade hands, four subsidiary dials for the month and leap year, day, date, moon phases, the lunar calendar and constant seconds. Plain case, covers centred by the engraved initials of the Ottoman Sultan Abdulhamid II to the front and date 1303 AH (1885 AD) to the back, bordered by laurel wreaths, repeating slide in the band. Case stamped LA and numbered 12’144 and with case maker initials MF for Meylan Frères, cuvette signed Breguet No. 3938.
