A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating perpetual calendar keyless lever watch with phases of the moon made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1931. Encased in 1964 and sold in 1968. The mechanical movement, manufactured in 1931, with 29 jewels, a bimetallic compensation balance, swan neck regulator and wolf’s tooth winding, minute repeating with two polished steel hammers on two gongs. Silvered matte dial with applied gold baton numerals, gold dauphine hands, an aperture for month, day and date display, a subsidiary dial for the moon phases and constant seconds. The massive case with a stepped bezel, snap-on back and a repeating slide in the band. Case and movement signed by the watchmaker, dial signed by the watchmaker and retailer. Comes with the original certificate.
