Attractive gold and enamel open faced quarter repeater by Revillon

A fine, rare and attractive French 18 carat gold and enamel two train open faced quarter repeating petite sonnerie clockwatch with date, circa 1825. Gilt finished two train movement, double wheel duplex escapement, bimetallic compensation curb on the regulator, diamond endstone, repeating and petite sonnerie hour and quarter striking on two hammers onto two gongs, Q/H lever underneath the gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, blued steel hands with gold dagger tops, gold central hand for the inner date indicaion with Arabic numerals, outer railway minute divisions. Large case, band decorated with translucent Royal blue champlevé enamel floral and scroll decoration, hinged engine turned back with blue enamel surround and engraved shield with the initials ALN on the bottom, the inner side of the shield traced in blue enamel, repeating through a push button in the pendant. Cuvette signed.
