A fine, rare and attractive English 18 carat gold and agate pair cased verge watch, circa 1750. Gilt finished verge movement, chain fusée, finely pierced and engraved balance cock and foot, square baluster pillars. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic 60 minutes divisions, blued steel poker and beetle hands. Plain inner case with sliding winding hole cover, finely chased gold repoussé and agate outer case over foiled metal. Movement signed.
