A fine and unusual Swiss 18 Carat vari coloured gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever chronograph watch made for the American market, circa 1890. Mechanical movement, 24 jewels, repeating with two hammers. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals, outer red chronograph scale and subsidiary seconds. Entirely scroll and foliage engraved case, the front cover with a vari coloured gold fishing scene, the back with a vari coloured gold hunting scene, repeating slide and chronograph button in the band. Movement signed and numbered.
