An English 18 carat gold open faced pocket chronometer, circa 1865. Half plate fusée movement, detent escapement with multi screwed compensation freesprung balance, blued steel helical balance spring, diamond endstone. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, 24 hour up and down indication, subsidiary seconds (hand missing). Engraved later American case with geometric design to the case back, band and rim. Dial and movement signed and numbered, case and cuvette numbered.
