A fine French 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1880-1899. Nickel finished lever movement, 31 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf’s tooth winding, minute repeating on two polished hammers on to two gongs, activated through a slide in the band. Rose gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer black Arabic five minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and blued spade hands. Engine turned case, hinged back. Cuvette signed, case and cuvette numbered, case stamped JL.
