A fine, rare and heavy Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased two train minute repeating split second chronograph keyless lever watch with flying 1/4ths of a second, circa 1888. Keyless two train jewelled lever movement, minute repeating on two hammers onto two gongs, glazed dust cover. Gold cuvette engraved H. Halsted Park, Katonak N.Y. Born March 22, 1888. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary dial indicating flying 1/4ths of a second. Large case, engine turned covers with central small blank cartouche to the front, split second chronograph mechanism and flying 1/4ths of a second operated by three buttons in the milled band, repeating slide in the band. Dial and movement signed, case and cuvette numbered.
