A rare, thin Swiss, 18 carat yellow gold minute repeating hunting cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1915. A polished case, hinged gold cuvette engraved with the technical details. Guilloché silver dial with painted Cubiste numerals on a plain outer reserve, outer minute track, sunk guilloché subsidiary seconds dial and blued steel spade hands. Nickel movement, Geneva striping decoration, 27 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Case and cuvette signed.

The Swiss watch manufacturer Henri-Albert Ditisheim took over the company M & E Ditisheim in Saint-Imier with his brothers Charles, Edgar and Hippolyte. In 1889 the company’s name was changed to Albert Ditisheim & Frères and in 1895 it was renamed Henri-Albert Ditisheim at that time, based in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The brand name Marvin was deposited under the direction of Henri-Albert.
