Pocket watch with unusually rare movement quality

A very fine “Chronometer”, made by Vacheron & Constantin in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1915. This watch features an á goutte (waterdrop shaped) case crafted from 18 carat gold and a cuvette inscribed “Chronomètre”. The enamel dial features an outer minute and hour track with Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel hands. The numbered and patented movement of extremely rare quality is equipped with an anker chronometer with 21 jewels, a lever escapement, a special fine adjusting device, wolf’s toothing, adjusted in eight positions
